Frequently Asked Questions

What is the “cost” of a franchise?

The franchise fee is $29,500. This is a 10 year franchise agreement.  You'll receive initial training, access to the system, proprietary software, ongoing support, system updates and we include in the franchise fee Tools & Materials to help you get started.  Click to see what is included!

The "cost of a franchise" will vary regionally due to marketing costs and lead time for permitting in your area. It will also depend on the size you want your office to be and the income you want to achieve.

There is some capital needed in the first year to operate the office, pay any employees, maintain cash flow, marketing costs, etc.  This is money spent by you to operate your own office.  It is up to you to decide how large or small your office will be. We have offices in our network that fit all models.

Do I need a construction background to run a successful UBuildIt business?

People coming from a wide variety of backgrounds and experience levels can be successful in this business. Excellent interpersonal and management skills coupled with a strong desire to provide outstanding client service are key ingredients. Successful franchise networks also depend on Franchise Partners to value and follow a proven system, and to commit to brand consistency and integrity.

We have identified FOUR “HATS” that are present in our most successful franchise offices…

  • Business Operations
  • Marketing
  • Sales
  • Construction Consulting

These “hats” must be worn by the ownership team or their staff. All are full-time efforts. Construction Consulting is the backbone of this business. You'll need to feel confident in offering the services yourself (and be approved by UBuildIt to do so), or position your business to engage an experienced residential construction professional to work directly with your clients during their construction phases. The other disciplines that are critical to success include the ability to manage, market and grow the business, to follow the marketing guidelines, and to sell the system to your UBuildIt clients.

If I am a builder, can I add UBuildIt to my present business?

Yes, you can. You may own other businesses, but no co-branding is allowed. We expect that Franchise Partners will run their UBuildIt offices as an independent business. This gives you a unique marketing message that sets you apart from other home builders in your area. It also reduces the liabilities and the paperwork inherent in construction. You may offer your ancillary services to your UBuildIt clients once you qualify as a preferred vendor.

Why should I consider a UBuildIt business?

UBuildIt stands alone as the largest and fastest growing franchise brand targeting the large owner-builder market. It is a unique opportunity to join the industry leader and serve a growing industry segment. Your investment in a UBuildIt franchise will allow you to be in business for yourself, but not by yourself.

How much money can I make?

We currently do not provide an earnings claim statement. The income you produce from your business is based upon many factors which will be determined and controlled solely by YOU. At the appropriate time in your discovery process we connect you with our existing UBuildIt Franchise Partners so you can speak with them about their experience first hand. You apply their success to your goals, your skills and your demographic area.
