This person wants to control and to be involved in their construction project, they may already own land, and they have a strong desire to realize the home of their dreams. Our clients are generally 30-55 years old, middle to upper income. They have been both single and dual income families.

The number of families choosing to act as their own builder or project manager is increasing because people want bigger homes with better features and are looking for more quality and value in their home.  10% of new construction projects each year in the US are started and completed by "owner-builders."  But, going it alone can be an uncertain venture when attempting a large construction project.  Some try and quickly get in over their head.  Some state jurisdictions require that the building permits be pulled by a licensed contractor, and the homeowner must find a builder that merely lends their license to the project.  Completing the project on their own can be a daunting task.
